High school basketball: State College girls use defense to drop Chambersburg

The State College defense put the clamps on Chambersburg in the second half, outscoring the Trojans 24-12 to earn a 49-35 victory Wednesday night.

“The second half we adjusted out defense,” Lady Little Lions coach Bethany Irwin said. “On the offensive end we had to get the ball inside. We weren’t shooting well outside. We got the ball inside to Kyla (Irwin) and Bridget (King) and did a nice high-low game.”

Kyla finished with a game-high 19 points and King added 13 points.

The Lady Little Lions (5-1) travel to Mifflin County on Friday.
