"We played pretty well on the road against a pretty good team," said Eagles' coach Bill Butterworth. "It was a good warm up for the playoffs. They're a big team and we got in foul trouble in the second."
Bald Eagle was able to withstand the Chuck's charge thanks to a big night from Fisher. The win sets up a Friday night matchup with Central. With a victory, BEA would win the Mountain League title outright.
"Central has been up and down," Butterworth said. "They're a young team. The first time we handled them but I look for them to play well."
Butterworth said he's excited for Friday's contest because there is so much on the line.
"We have an undefeated home record this year and we'll be playing for a Mountain League title," Butterworth said. "I don't know if its ever been done for boys and girls to win the (Mountain League), so we're pretty pumped up about that. Wrestling won the title also. It's been a good winter for Bald Eagle Area sports and its nice to be apart of that."
The girls' basketball team clinched the Mountain League title with a victory over Tyrone, Tuesday. Bald Eagle Area's wrestling team clinched a share of the title with Bellefonte.
