The Penns Valley defense put the clamps on Philipsburg-Osceola on Tuesday night as the Rams earned a 59-23 boys’ basketball victory over the Mounties.
P-O was held to single digits in each quarter by the Rams, who played their season opener but are immediately diving into a busy schedule.
“The kids played with a lot of energy tonight,” Penns Valley coach Terry Glunt said. “It was an opportunity to play 12 kids and they all contributed and it was important that we’d be able to play 12 kids tonight because we have four games in seven days.
“It was nice to take the first step of the four in a positive direction.”
