Bald Eagle Area’s up-tempo transition offense and high-pressure defense were too much for Clearfield to handle and the Bald Eagles routed the Bison 87-57 on Wednesday.
“That’s what we like to do. We like to get out and pressure,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “Our pressure defense really gave them problems and we just shot lights out.”
The Bald Eagles (3-0) hit 11 of 16 three-pointers which included an 8-for-8 stretch over the first and second quarters.
Trey Butterworth hit three of those and led the team along with Jason Jones with 16 points apiece. Jeffrey Bennet added 14 points while Bryce Greene sunk 12. Brandon Gettig chipped in 10 points.
