A fast start helped Bald Eagle Area build a fasst early lead and earn the Eagles the championship trophy at the Purchase Line Christmas Tournament on Saturday night.
Bryce Greene earned tournament Most Valuable Player honors, scoring 10 points in the final, while all-tournament team members Bryan Greene led with 19 points and Brandon Gettig netted 17 points. Trey Butterworth contributed nine points.
The Eagles (6-1) shot to a 22-11 lead after the first quarter and had the margin at 42-22 by halftime
“We had a lot of energy in the first half,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “Our press gave them fits. We got out of the gates like we did last night and we coasted home.”
