After a strong first half, Huntingdon was even more powerful after the break to pull away from Bellefonte 79-37 in Mountain League play Friday night.
The Bearcats (6-4), who have won six straight, led by 14 at the break thanks to a couple late buckets, then blazed through the rest of the game with a 41-13 margin after the break and 65 percent field goal shooting for the contest
“We ran into a hot team,” Red Raiders coach Darin Hazel said. “We played fairly well im the first half, but they hit a couple shots right before halftime, and then in the second half they came out on fire.”
Nate Gearhart’s 28 points on 11 for 12 shooting from the floor led the Bearcats, while Devon Claar added 16 points and Kobren Frederick netted 15.

Evan Wian’s 10 points led the Red Raiders (1-9).
