Bryce Greene scored 14 points and Jason Jones added 12 as Bald Eagle Area needed a strong second half to hold off rival Bellefonte 49-36 on Tuesday.
Bellefonte’s Evan Wian led all scorers with 17 points, as the Red Raiders trailed the Eagles 20-19 at the break.
“We had trouble with Bellefonte’s zone defense in the first half, and weren’t able to connect on our jump shots,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “We made some adjustments in the second half, attacked the zone and got some easy baskets on the back side. But give Bellefonte credit, (Darin Hazel) had a great game plan, and we were a little sloppy, which has been uncharacteristic of us.”
Ryan Dyke added eight for the Eagles, who improved to 10-1 on the season with their seventh straight victory.
