Chris Golembeski, Mason Post, Kyle Adams and Will Cather shattered a school and meet record in the 4x800 relay to lead State College in the Kevin Dare Invitational on Saturday at Penn State.
The quartet ran 7 minutes, 57.49 seconds in a time that is third in the country this season and shattered the meet mark by five seconds. Cather (1:54.05) placed second and Adams was fourth in the individual 800.
Bryce Williams also had a big day, placing second in the triple jump (43-10 1/2) and fourth in the long jump (21-6). Kellen Valentine took third in the triple jump (43-4 1/2) and fifth in the long jump (21-1).
Lucas Gray took sixth in the pole vault (12-6) and the 4x200 relay team of Jon Smith, Noah Woods, Valentine and Tristan Davis placed ninth (1:32.95).
