Girls indoor track: Fedkina leads State College in Kevin Dare Invitational

Natasha Fedkina turned in State College’s top individual finish and was part of its top relay finish at the Kevin Dare Invitational on Saturday at Penn State.

Fedkina placed third in the 800 in 2 minutes, 18.82 seconds, edge teammate Emma Cousins (2:19.44), who placed fourth. Fedkina and Cousins joined Larissa Burka and Victoria Crawford to place second in the 4x800 relay (9:41.13).

That team also qualified for the state meet along with the 4x200 team of Niara Valentine, Monye Valentine, Taylor Campbell and Haley Crawford, which placed fifth (1:46.20).

The 4x400 relay team of Aylssa Valent, Kaelyn Yoder, Fedkina and Victoria Crawford was sixth (4:13.35).

Megan Fry had a personal record by clearing 12-6 to place fifth in the pole vault. Kate Nese was ninth (9-0). Larissa Burka placed sixth (5:21.24) and Hannah Catalono was ninth (5:21.76) in the mile, both earning state berths.

Kaelyn Yoder was sixth (11:05.15) and Victoria Scutti was 10th (11:29.17) in the 3,000. Haley Crawford was ninth in the 200 (25.91) and 10th in the 60 (8.08). Jordan Bair took 10th in the shot put (32-3).
