Behind four players in double figures, the Bald Eagle Area boys’ basketball team broke a three-game losing skid, using a fast start to race past Clearfield 73-53.
The Eagles (12-4) raced to a 27-11 lead after the opening eight minutes, then had the margin at 41-19 by halftime.
“We needed it,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “Our press worked a little bit tonight. We had a day off this week (with school closed because of weather). We got our legs back tonight. We were getting after it and our transition game was working tonight. We got a lot of subs in. It was a much needed win after the losing streak we had.”
Brandon Gettig’s 15 points paced BEA, while Bryan Greene scored 12 points, Bryce Greene added 11 and Trey Butterworth tossed in 10.
