A three-game losing stretch in late January was the low point of the season for the Bald Eagle Area boys’ basketball team.
BEA wasn’t down for long and hasn’t looked back since.
The Bald Eagles (17-4) won their sixth straight game on Wednesday and clinched a share of the Mountain League title in the process with a 79-57 victory over Bellefonte (2-17).
“I think right now we seem to be peaking,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “We went through that little streak where we were 0-3 and lost three in one week. But we broke out of that with a couple of nice wins. Our offense is clicking and our defense is coming around.”
