Bald Eagle Area is closing in on the District 6 Class AA playoffs and may be peaking at the right time.
The Eagles picked up a 61-57 boys’ basketball win Monday night over Class AAAA Hollidaysburg and coach Bill Butterworth couldn’t be happier with the ‘W.’
“Its definitely a confidence booster,” Butterworth said. “It seems like we are peaking now and I hope it stays. Any time you beat a AAAA school its a great accomplishment.”
BEA got a game-high 16 points from Bryce Greene, who went 8 for 10 at the free throw line. The Eagles had three other players score in double figures: Brandon Gettig (12), Jason Jones (15) and Ryan Dyke (11).
