That’s the price she’s happy to pay to have her team in the ACAA playoffs for the first time in 11 seasons.
Rachel Campbell scored 16 points, grabbed 22 rebounds and blocked seven shots as the Lady Bulldogs defeated DuBois Christian 37-31 in Monday’s play-in game to determine the final spot in the ACAA playoffs.
CCCA (7-12) became the third-seeeded team from the West and will face Juniata Mennotite, the second seed from the East, at 3 p.m. Thursday in the opening round.

“They played like they wanted to win,” said Maholic, who agreed to dye her hair if the team made the playoffs. “They played with intensity. They really fought hard for it.”
Abby Maholic added 11 points for the Lady Bulldogs, who split two regular-season meetings with DuBois Christian. Shelby Brownlee had 10 points for DuBois Christian.
