High school boys’ volleyball: State College makes quick work of CD East

It was a quick night for State College as the Little Lions needed just three games to trounce Central Dauphin East on Tuesday.

The Little Lions (4-6) swept the Panthers 25-9, 25-16 and 25-11.

“It was a fun night. I think CD East is not quite as developed as they have been in the past but that was good on the road to get home and now we can really focus in on our tournament this weekend,” State College coach Kim-Li Kimel said.

Peyton Stark led State College with eight kills while Clark Handel added six. Handel also notched five aces. Parker Thompson handled defensive duties with 22 digs. Noah Christie and Andrew Groves spread the ball around with 14 and 13 assists respectively.
