High school baseball: State College earns District 6’s top seed

With an impressive regular season in the books, the State College baseball team will now look to keep its momentum going in the postseason.

The Little Lions (14-5) will do so as the No. 1 seed in the District 6 Class AAAA field.

State College earned 5.89 points in the District 6 standings and edged No. 2 Mifflin County (11-9) which finished with 4.4 points. The Little Lions will face No. 4 Altoona (9-10) in the semifinals at State College on Thursday. Meanwhile, No. 2 Mifflin County will host No. 3 Central Mountain (9-7).

The Little Lions beat Altoona 2-0 in their only meeting on May 3.
