High school girls’ tennis: State College remains undefeated with win over Lower Dauphin

State College swept Lower Dauphin 5-0 on Monday.

State College’s Yvonne Peters-Washington beat Jordan Scheafer 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 in No. 1 singles. Lilijana Peters-Semak defeated Mac Kenzie Kulina 6-1, 6-1 in No. 2 singles, and Cathy Badding beat Olivia Rutledge 6-0, 6-0.

In No. 1 doubles, Lady Little Lions tandem Juliette Greer and Cassie Walter topped Emma Lee and Nicole Hsing-Smith 6-3, 6-4. State College’s Callan Glover and Elizabeth Easterling beat Hannah Malinen and Jocelyn Hanula 6-2, 6-3.

“Our singles play continues to be strong and it’s great to see the doubles teams work together to put together some nice matches,” coach Jane Borden said.

State College (6-0) has lost just one set this season.
