High school boys soccer: Penns Valley, Huntingdon battle to tie

The Penns Valley boys’ soccer team put up a strong defensive showing before finishing in a 1-1 tie with Huntingdon on Monday afternoon.

Burton Peese put the Rams into the lead 58 seconds into the second half, converting a feed from Robert Stattel.

Penns Valley (1-7-1) held the advantage until Austin Bauman spoiled the shutout bid with 4:20 left in regulation.

Tiger welch made three saves while Kody Heaton stopped eight shots for the Bearcats (4-2-1), who were outshot 11-5.
