High school girls volleyball: Philipsburg-Osceola knocks off Bellefonte

McKendz Kepart smacked 11 kills and McKenzie Burge had 29 assists as Philipsburg-Osceola remained unbeaten in Mountain League play by topping Bellefonte 25-15, 25-17, 25-23.

“We started out a little shaky,” said P-O coach Dave Eckberg, whose team improved to 11-4 overall and 5-0 in league play. “From the middle of Game 1 to the end of Game 2, our seniors stepped up and we played better. ... Bellefonte’s hitters came on strong and they really gave us a fight in Game 3.”

Elizabeth Robertson added 13 digs and Cheyenne Bone had two blocks. Sadie Granville served up three aces.

Nicole Doroschenko led the Lady Red Raiders with eight kills, 10 digs and two blocks. Chloe Thompson added seven digs and five kills. Lexi Wetzler had 18 assists, five digs and two aces.
