High school girls soccer: Crawford’s hat trick helps State College rally past Carlisle

Haley Crawford’s hat trick in the second half helped the State College girls’ soccer team rally from a two-goal halftime deficit to beat Carlisle 5-3 Thursday.

Trailing 3-1, Crawford started the comeback 3:27 into the second half, with help from Kelly Mejia. Megan Fry then tied the game 13 minutes later, and Crawford completed the hat trick with two more goals.

Taylor Campbell-Phipps had a first-half goal and assisted on the final score of the day as the Lady Little Lions outshot the Thundering Herd 30-9.

Ali Wicks made seven saves in her first career varsity start.
