High school football: St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy’s rally falls short against Purchase Line

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy came up three yards short on fourth down in the waning seconds as the Wolves fell 33-27 against Purchase Line on Friday.

St. Joseph’s (1-3) drove 80 yards in the final three minutes. On fourth-and-3 with 10 seconds remaining, the Wolves failed to convert.

Garrett Walters had a 75-yard kickoff return to open the St. Joseph’s scoring, while Charlie Ross added a 57-yard fumble return.

Michael Kresovich ran seven yards for a score and fired a 23-yard touchdown pass to Mike Jabco. Kresovich also tossed a two-point conversion to Jabco.

The Wolves play at Upper Dauphin on Friday.
