High school boys soccer: Clearfield edges Philipsburg-Osceola

Philipsburg-Osceola held a huge shot disparity, but couldn’t cash in on any of its chances in a 1-0 loss to Clearfield on Tuesday.

Sawyer Rowles nedd the day’s lone goal while at the other end of the field sophomer keeper Peyton Priester posted the shutout despite the Mounties outshooting the Bison 20-2.

“Their keeper was quite good,” P-O coach Shawn Inlow said. “We missed a lot very close. We hit the bar a lot, and we missed two open goals. The goalie wasn’t there and we missed them.”

Mitch Winters made one save in the loss.
