High school boys’ soccer: Penns Valley clips Bald Eagle Area in second half

Penns Valley scored a early and late in the second half as the Rams knocked off Centre County rival Bald Eagle Area 2-0 on Wednesday.

Penns Valley (3-8-1) broke open the scoreless contest 3:23 into the second half when Jared Kines converted off a pass from Gino Nicosia. The score stayed that way until 4:12 remaining when Stephen Gover scored off a pass from Zeke Warren.

The Rams held a 15-7 edge in shots. Tiger Welch recorded six saves in the shutout. Alex Boyer stopped 11 shots for the Eagles (7-4), who were playing their third game in three days.
