High school field hockey: Cumberland Valley rolls past State College

Cumberland Valley built a two-goal lead in the first half and never let State College sustain a rally in a 4-2 Eagles win Wednesday at the South Track Field.

Madi Sauve and Taylor Nesmith scored first-half goals and Emma Way took care of the second-half scoring for Cumberland Valley (10-1-1, 8-0-1), the Mid Penn Conference Commonwealth Division leaders.

Aley Moore and Emily Allegar scored for the Lady Little Lions (5-6, 4-6), with Paige Meily picking up an assist and Shelby Querry making five saves in the loss.
