High school boys’ cross country: Penns Valley finishes seventh undefeated season

Penns Valley wrapped up its seventh undefeated season in the 30-year history of the program Monday, running to a 23-34 victory over Hollidaysburg

The Tigers’ David Snyder won the 5-kilometer race in 18 minutes, 2 seconds, but five of the next six places were taken by Rams. Adam Mothersbaugh was second in 18:09, and was followed by Chris Colwell (third, 18:20), Keith Griffith (fifth, 19:02), Nick Fuller (sixth, 19:02) and Isaac DuVall (seventh, 19:16).

“I thought we packed well and met our objective of leaving Hollidaysburg with a win, an undefeated season, and seven healthy bodies,” said Rams coach Terry Glunt, whose team (9-0) has a few days off before hosting the Mountain League Championships on Oct. 15.
