High school girls volleyball: State College sweeps Chambersburg

Janae Moran had an all-around day with six kills and seven digs to go with 16 assists as State College swept Chambersburg 25-19, 25-10, 27-25 Tuesday.

Sydney McNulty paced the offense with 11 kills, and Kyla Irwin added nine kills and eight aces. Makenzie Sullivan had five aces, Tara Neidigh picked up eight digs and Makenzie Sullivan had 14 assists.

On Monday, Irwin had a dozen kills and three blocks, and Moran added eight kills and 16 assists in a 25-15, 25-9, 25-10 win over Red Land. The Lady Little Lions (13-2) also got seven kills from Abby Horner, 18 assists from Peterson, 13 digs from Neidigh and five aces from Sullivan.

State College also advanced to the semifinals of its State College Invitational on Saturday, falling to eventual champion Parkland. The state’s No. 1 Class AAA team beat Seneca Valley 2-0 in the finals.
