Centre County’s soccer teams now know who, when and where they will be playing in their quest to win a district title.
The District 6 playoff brackets were announced Saturday.
Earning the highest seed was the State College girls’ team, which is No. 2 in Class AAA and will host No. 3 Central Mountain in a semifinal at 7 p.m. Oct. 27 at Memorial Field. Those same teams also will meet in a boys’ semifinal on the same night, but the seeding is reversed, with the No. 3 Little Lions visiting the No. 2 Wildcats at Don Malinak Stadium in Mill Hall at 6 p.m.
In Class AA, Bellefonte will host a doubleheader at Rogers Stadium on Oct. 21, with the fourth-seeded Lady Red Raiders hosting No. 5 Central in a 7:30 p.m. semifinal, following the No. 8 Bellefonte boys facing No. 9 Bishop Carroll in a first-round game. Also, No. 6 Philipsburg-Osceola meets No. 11 Somerset at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21 at Hollidaysburg’s Tiger Stadium.

The Class A playoffs also kick off Oct. 21 with a Centre County girls’ quarterfinal doubleheader at Altoona’s Mansion Park. No. 4 Penns Valley will meet No. 5 Bishop McCort at 6 p.m., and No. 8 Bald Eagle Area will meet No. 1 Bishop Guilfoyle at 8 p.m. The BEA boys have a long road trip the next night, meeting Westmont Hilltop in the semifinals at Richland High School at 6 p.m. Oct. 22.
The playoffs continue through the finals, which are set for various classes Oct. 28-30
