High school girls basketball: Philipsburg-Osceola dominates Saint Joseph’s

Cheyanne Cowfer’s career-high 27 points helped Philipsburg-Osceola to a 74-34 domination of Saint Joseph’s Catholic Academy on Monday night.

The Lady Mounties (3-4) saw everyone score, including freshmen and first-time varsity starters Lacy Potter and Loryn Hughes, who netted 10 and eight, respectively.

“We played really well,” P-O coach Doug Myers said. “We played well on defense, made smart shots, and had an overall good team effort.”

Cowfer also had four 3-pointers and six assists, and Abby Showers added 21 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.

Sarah Authier led Saint Joesph’s with 14 points.

The Lady Mounties will play again Monday in the Williamsburg tournament.
