“Both are outstanding ballplayers,” Penns Valley coach Karen McCaffrey said. “We knew going into tonight, it was going to be tough matchups.”

Bellwood-Antis (9-1) led by 40 points going into the fourth quarter.

“They’re the top team in our district right now,” McCaffrey said. “That’s where we’re striving to be.”

Penns Valley played without starting point guard Kourtney Beamesderfer, who McCaffrey said is out for the season due to injury.
