High school girls’ indoor track and field: Fry, Wiley have good day for State College

Megan Fry and Rachel Wiley both had second place finishes for State College in the Kutztown Invitational on Saturday.

Fry’s finish came in the pole vault with a vault of 11 feet-3 inches. Wiley’s was in the 55 meter hurdles with a time of 9.07 seconds. Also in the pole vault, Kinsey Thompson finished seventh at 10-6 and in the hurdles Jordan Rohrbach was fifth with a time of 9.43 seconds.

Natasha Fedkina had a solid day for the Lady Little Lions with two third-place finishes. Fedkina placed in the 800 meter run with a time of 2 minutes 27.04 seconds and then combined with Larissa Burka, Julia Neely, Ellie Mhando in the 4x800 relay with a time of 10:13.63.

Other finishers for State College included Sarah Almarzooqi (eighth, 3000 meter run, 11:39.35), Taylor Givens (seventh, high jump, 5-0), Courtney Poorman (sixth, triple jump, 34-5) and Jordan Bair (fifth, shot put, 34-8.75).
