High school boys’ basketball: Team effort propels Bald Eagle Area over Huntingdon

Four Bald Eagle Area players scored in double figures in the Eagles’ 73-54 win over Huntingdon in boys’ basketball on Friday night.

Jason Jones led the way with 18 points and 13 rebounds for the Eagles, who led 37-19 at halftime.

“He’s just been a consistent rebounder for us,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “He works hard in there.”

Trey Butterworth and Brandon Gettig each had 16 points, and Noah Chambers finished with 11.

Kobren Frederick paced Huntingdon with 14.

Bald Eagle Area (7-9) is at Punxsutawney on Saturday.
