High school boys basketball: Hollidaysburg routs Bald Eagle Area

Max Sheetz had 17 points to lead four Hollidaysburg players in double figures as the Dragons scorched Bald Eagle Area 89-50 on Wednesday.

The Dragons came out on fire, scoring 30 points in the first quarter to take a 15-point lead.

“They came out and hit everything,” BEA coach Bill Butterworth said. “It’s tough to stay focused when the other team is shooting that hot.”

Brandon Getting scored 16 points to lead the Eagles and now needs 13 points to reach 1,000 for his career. Trey Butterworth added 12.

Jake Holsopple and Jesse Ottaway netted 15 each for Central.

BEA hosts Tyrone at 7:30 p.m. on Friday in it’s annual Coaches vs. Cancer game.
