High school boys basketball: Williamsport rallies past State College in fourth quarter

A poor fourth quarter led to the demise of State College on Saturday night, falling to Williamsport 62-55 to close the Little Lions’ regular season.

State College led 49-44 heading into the final eight minutes, but the Millionaires scored 18 of the game’s final 24 points, with the Little Lions held to just one made field goal in the frame.

Maleak Benjamin’s 20 points paced Williamsport (10-9) and Stanley Scott added 12.

State College (12-10), which awaits word on the District 6 playoff pairings to learn its next game, was paced by Alex McCann’s 18 points and Tyler Hall’s 13.
