Bellefonte collapsed in the second half as Mifflinburg knocked off the Red Raiders 60-43 on Monday.
Bellefonte led 31-30 at the half, but was outscored 30-12 over the final 16 minutes, including 19-4 in the final quarter.
“Mifflinburg switched defenses and we were a little confused on where to go and what to do,” Bellefonte coach Darin Hazel said. “You have to give Mifflinburg credit. They needed a win to make the playoffs. We’ll rebound and play better (Tuesday) against Central Mountain.”
Trent Fortney led the Red Raiders (8-13) with 11 points. James Zack had 27 points and Jordan Wagner added 17 for the Wildcats.
