The State College boys’ volleyball team held off a Chambersburg comeback attempt for a 3-2 win Tuesday night.
“It was our first match in the Mid Penn league and I was happy with the win, but we had too many unforced errors.” State College coach Kim-Li Kimel said after the 25-16, 25-13, 22-25, 21-25, 15-11 victory.
Tyler Snyder led the Little Lions with 20 kills and a pair of blocks. Noah Christie added 21 digs, while Brandon Kuruzovich had three aces and 42 assists.
“Aaron Cymbor had a great all-around match and showed excellent team leadership.” Kimel said of Cymbor, who finished with three aces and 12 digs.

Kimel also praised sophomores Scott Tillotson and Gabe Avillion who “played very well in critical minutes and were a big contribution to the win.”
State College (3-0) will face Carlisle at home on Thurday.
