High school boys lacrosse: Cumberland Valley edges State College

State College fell short in a 5-4 loss to Cumberland Valley on Tuesday at Memorial Field.

The Eagles took a 3-0 lead after the first quarter and added two goals in the third to take a 5-4 advantage into the final period. John Miller led Cumberland Valley with two goals.

PJ Bachman, Will Harvey, Chris McDonough and Jon Seighman each scored goals for the Little Lions.

State College’s Noah Schwab made 10 saves.

State College plays at Carlisle on Thursday.
