Penns Valley came out strong with a 98-51 victory over Clearfield and a 95-55 win over Bellefonte on Wednesday, completing a dual meet for the first time this season. Clearfield edged Bellefonte 75-71.
Ben Alexander paced the Rams with three individual wins. He won the 100-meter dash (11.7), the 200 (24.4) and long jump (17-10). He also was part of the winning 400 relay with Sam Goodwin, Jeremiah Manning and Gino Nicosia.
Nicosia was a double individual winner, placing first in the 400 (54.8) and 800 (2:16.9.) Collin Egelhoff also was a double winner, placing first in both the shot put (43-0) and discus (127-5 1/2).
Other Penns Valley winners included Nick Fuller (3,200, 10:57.7) and Dan Kozar (high jump, 5-6).

Bellefonte started the meet winning the 3,200 relay (Michael O’Donnell, Matt Dabiero, Ethan Diefenbach, Josiah Stickles) in 9:07.4. Dabiero later won the 1,600 (4:59.69).
Other Bellefonte winners were Nathan Wert in the pole vault (9-0) and Matt Feldman in javelin (122-2).
“Overall a good start, but still lots of work to do,” Red Raiders coach Seth Miller said. “Our kids were happy to finally have the opportunity to compete.”
Penns Valley will travel to Tyrone on Tuesday while Bellefonte will take part in the Brookville invitational on Saturday.
