High school girls’ track and field: State College takes down Central Dauphin

State College won every event but one in its 124-26 rout of Central Dauphin on Thursday.

Hurdler Rachel Wylie was a double winner for State College in both the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles. She posted times of 15.9 seconds in the 100 hurdles and 47.8 seconds in the 300 hurdles.

Veronika Karpenko won the long jump (15-8) and triple jump (36-2). Taylor Givens took first in the 100 (13.1) and 200 (26.8).

Other State College winners included: Natasha Fedkina (1,600, 5:32.4), Adelyn Hardy (400, 1:05.1), Julia Neely (800, 2:34.4), Jordan Bair (shot put, 33-1/2), Taylor Love (discus, 100-2), Jackie Horner (javelin, 95-6), Kinsey Thompson (pole vault, 9-0).

State College (3-0) will travel to Carlisle on Tuesday.
