High school boys’ track and field: State College leaps to victory over Central Dauphin

State College swept the top three places in all four jumping events en route to a 117-33 win over Central Dauphin on Thursday.

Kellin Valentine was the lone double winner for the Little Lions, taking the long jump and triple jump at 19 feet, 8 inches and 42 feet, 2 inches, respectively.

Other State College winners included: Kyle Charney (110 hurdles, 18.4 seconds), Josh Rickley (400 meter dash, 54.1), Tyler Smith (300 hurdles, 42.8), Anthony Degleris (800, 2:05.2), Noah Woods (200, 22.9), Izaiah Bokunewicz (3,200, 11:04.4), Erik Ebel (shot put, 41-1 1/2), Andrew Miller (discus, 136-11), Kyle Behnken (high jump, 5-8) and Nathan McMahon (pole vault, 12-0).

The Little Lions will face Carlisle on Tuesday.
