High school boys track and field: St. Joseph’s sets records at United Invitational

The St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy boys’ track and field team set two meet records and a school record at the United Invitational on Saturday.

St. Joseph’s Brian Hackman broke his own meet record with a time of 4:38.29 to win the 1,600-meter run. Wolves teammate Eli Urban set the record and won the 3,200-meter with a time of 10:12.31. The 3,200 relay team of Charlie Ross, Michael Peters, Urban and Hackman set a school record and took first with a time of 8:34.18.

St. Joseph’s finished sixth in the 16-team field with 40 points. Bellwood-Antis won with 85 points.

Michael Peters was second in the 3,200 (10:37.91), and Gabe Sandoval finished fifth in the shot put (39-1.5).
