High school baseball: Eight-run first inning sends Bald Eagle Area over DuBois

Bald Eagle Area got all of its runs in the first inning in an 8-2 victory over DuBois on Monday.

“I was very pleased by our offensive attack in the first inning,” BEA coach Jim Gardner said.

Brandon Gettig, Ryan Guenot and Alex Struble led the Eagle offense. Gettig was 3-for-4 while Guenot and Struble each added a double.

Pitcher Colton Comly earned the win for BEA (3-1).

BEA (3-1) will face Bellefonte at home on Tuesday.
