High school boys track and field: Bellefonte tops Philipsburg-Osceola, St. Joseph’s

Bellefonte barely earned a pair of wins in a double-dual meet with Philipsburg-Osceola and St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy on Tuesday, with the Red Raiders edging the Mounties 78.5-71.5, and P-O edging the Wolves 95-51. Bellefonte topped St. Joe’s 96-53.

Eli Urban and Brian Hackman were double winners for St. Joe’s, with Urban winning the 800- and 1,600-meter runs, and Hackman taking the 400 and 3,200. The Wolves also won the 3,200 relay.

Bellefonte was first in the 400 relay and got individual wins from Josiah Stickles (triple jump), Matt Feldman (javelin) and Nathan Wert (pole vault).

Payton Moore was a double winner for the Mounties, taking the 110- and 300-meter hurdles, while Ben Webster won the 100, Joseph Bickle took the 200, Jake Anderson won the long jump, Logan Day had the shot put and Dane Soltys won the high jump. P-O also took the 1,600 relay.
