High school girls track and field: St. Joseph’s wins 10 individual events at meet

St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy won all but three events on the track and added two field event victories in a double-dual meet with Bellefonte and Philipsburg-Osceola on Tuesday.

The Lady Red Raiders edged P-O 76-74 and the Lady Mounties topped the Lady Wolves 80-66, but St. Joe’s prevailed over Bellefonte 74-72.

St. Joe’s won the 400- and 3,200-meter relays, Ana Legaspi took the 100 and 200, Cecelia Surovec won the 100 and 300 hurdles and Jordan Wiser paced the 400 and 800. Asara Clark added a win in the shot put and Xabine Staber-Kamatas was first in the pole vault.

Anya Hoaglund was a double winner for Bellefonte, pacing the field in the 1,600 and 3,200, while Brooke Shirey captured the long and triple jumps. Olivia Spratt added a win in the high jump.

P-O got wins in the 1,600 relay along with Lacey Potter (javelin) and Jamie Watro (discus).
