High school girls lacrosse: Friberg nets milestone goal in State College win

Caroline Friberg led the State College girls’ lacrosse team with four goals, including her 100th career goal, in a 21-1 domination of Mechanicsburg on Thursday.

In four games over the last seven days, Friberg has scored 13 goals and dished out six assists.

Other State College goal-scorers included Renee Olivett (3), Maddie Czekaj (3), Alison Heimer (2), Brielle Curtis (2), Erika Lose (2), Darien Miller (2), Sam Washell (1), Brooke Shaffer (1), and Olivia Stahl (1).

Lady Little Lion keeper Emilee Engle stopped two of three shots on goal. Mechanicsburg keeper Elizabeth Scott made seven saves on 28 shots on goal.

State College (6-3) will host Bishop Shanahan on Friday.
