High school girls track and field: Andrus’ effort paces Penns Valley

Destiny Andrus was a quadruple winner for Penns Valley in the Lady Rams’ 92-57 victory over Bald Eagle Area in girls’ track and field on Tuesday.

Andrus captured the 100-meter, 200-meter and 400-meter runs, and she was part of the winning 400-meter relay team. Naomi Olsen-Zelman won the 100-meter dash and 300-meter hurdles.

Alyssa Butterworth (800), Maddie Cingle (3,200), Rexine Schrum (pole vault), Sarah VanCise (shot put) and Jordan Gile (javelin) were all individual winners for Bald Eagle Area.

Bald Eagle Area will travel to the Bellwood-Antis Invitational on Monday. Penns Valley will travel to Philipsburg-Osceola on Thursday.
