State College’s Megan Fry broke her own school record and earned a second-place finish in the pole vault on Tuesday at the Penn Relays.
Fry cleared 12 feet, 3 1/2 inches to tie with Tesia Kempski of Bishop McDevitt. The hight is both her season best and breaks the school record she set earlier this season.. Fry matched winner Jackie McNulty of Ijansville, Md., in height, but McNulty had fewer misses for the win among the 23 competitors.
Natasha Fedkina, Julia Neely, Ellie Mhando and Larissa Burka all made up the 10th-place 3,200-meter relay team. The team ran a time of 9 minutes, 47.72 seconds against 17 other schools.
Emma Domico, Taylor Givens, Rachel Wylie and Haley Crawford were part of the 400 relay team which finished 39th out of 247 teams. The team ran a 50.39.
The 1600 relay team of Jordan Rohrbach, Rachel Wylie, Natasha Fedkina and Addy Hardy were third in their heat of 12 with a time of 4:10.6.
The boys 3,200, 400, and 1,600 relays will compete on Friday and Saturday along with long jumper Kellin Valentine.
