High school baseball: State College routs Elizabethtown

State College turned a one-run game into a 13-3 rout of Elizabethtown with one big inning Saturday.

The Little Lions took a 4-3 lead into the bottom of the sixth inning and scored nine runs to end the game. Sam Plafcan went 2 for 4 with three RBIs, Chris Boal went 3 for 3 with a triple and Tyler Hall had a double and drove in three runs for State College. Bailey Ishler had two doubles, Harrison Walls went 2 for 4 with a double and Chris Adams was 2 for 3 for State College, which finished with 16 hits.

Brett Graham went 4 1/3 innings, allowing three runs (one earned) and striking out five to earn the win.

State College (9-4) hosts Chambersburg on Wednesday.
