High school baseball: Bald Eagle Area opens up bats in win

Bald Eagle Area was able to get back on the winning track collecting 14 hits on Tuesday with a 12-5 win over Huntingdon.

“Up until this point,” Eagles coach Jim Gonder said, “we had extreme difficulty getting clutch hits. Today, we got that monkey off our back and got those clutch hits”

Brandon Gettig led BEA with three hits as the Eagles responded going down 3-1 to go up 12-3 after six innings.

Ryan Guenot, Jason Jones, Trey Butterworth and Dylan Burns were also multi-hitters for BEA.

Jones picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles, who play Williamsport on Wednesday.
