Philipsburg-Osceola earned a pair of wins Saturday, blanking Altoona 6-0, then rocking Bishop Guilfoyle 14-2 in five innings at Curtis Park.
Maggie Peck tossed a three-hit shutout, striking out five with no walks. She also blasted a solo home run, and Kenzie Burge ripped a two-run homer later in the fifth inning to lead the offense. Abby Showers added a 2-for-2 day with an RBI double.
Chelsea Henry and Hannah Thompson combined on a one-hitter in the second game, though Henry only lasted 1 2/3 innings, walking three. The Lady Mounties pounded out 18 hits in the game, with 13 different girls collecting hits. Thompson was 3-for-3, Burge was 2-for-2, Showers doubled and Kylie Thal added a triple.
The Lady Mounties (13-2), who have won seven straight, visit Huntingdon for a doubleheader on Tuesday.
