High school girls track and field: Penns Valley beats East Juniata

Seniors Alyssa Limbaugh, Mackenzie Wenrick, Valerie Kubalak, Kylie Orndorf and Emily Batdorf made their last home meet count as each were individual winners in Penns Valley’s 91-55 defeat of East Juniata on Monday

Limbaugh finished in first in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:59, which was a minute faster than second place. Wenrick cleared 6 feet to take first place in pole vault and was third in the discus (83-11/2).

Kubalak’s 5-2 high jump was good for the win, while placing third in the triple jump (31-31/2). Orndorf’s javelin soared to a distance of 100-10 and her discus throw traveled 92-11. Lastly, Batdorf’s shot-put finish was 28-21/4.

Other Lady Ram winners included Naomi Olsen-Zelman (100 hurdles), Sydney Riegel (300 hurdles), Destiny Andrus (200) and Rebecca Bierly (3,200).

Penns Valley will compete in the Mountain League Championship on Wednesday in Clearfield.
