Bald Eagle Area edged Philipsburg-Osceola with two runs in the sixth inning to secure a 2-1 baseball victory Wednesday.
After spotting P-O a run in the top of the sixth, the Eagles made their move when Ryan Guenot led off with a single and Noah Chambers added another single. Trey Butterworth’s infield hit led to Guenot finding his way home. Dylan Burns then put BEA ahead with a single to bring home Chambers.
“We really came up with some clutch hits when we needed to,” Bald Eagle coach Jim Gardner said.
BEA winning pitcher Colton Comly gave up four hits, four walks and struck out two in seven innings.
